To set up a dial-up connection to MWSI on your Windows XP, use the following instructions.

Step 1.    Click on the Start button, and then click on the "Control Panel" icon. A window should open like the one below.

Step 2.    Click on "Network and Internet Connections"

Step 3.    Click on "Set up or change your Internet connection"

Step 4.    Click the button labeled "Setup..."  This starts the connection wizard that steps you through the process of creating your connection icon.

Step 5.    Click the next button.

Step 6.    Select "Connect to the Internet", which should be the default choice (see picture below). Then click "Next". 

Step 7.    Select the second option - "Set up my connection manually". Click "Next."

Step 8.    Select the first choice - "Connect using a dial-up modem". Click "Next."

Step 9.    In this screen, type in "MWSI" as a name for this connection. Click next

Step 10.    In this screen, enter your local access number*. Click next. 

Step 10.    In the next screen, enter your MWSI username and password, then click "Next."

Step 12.    Congratulations! Put a check in "Add a shortcut to my desktop" Click finish.
