Q: When I try to check my e-mail, I get an error message that
tells me to check my username and/or password. What is the problem?
A: More than likely, you are entering them incorrectly. Both your username and
password must be entered in lowercase letters. For more
information about setting up your e-mail, click
here. Another common reason
for username/password errors is the set-up of some anti-virus software
programs. Make sure there are no letters shown before or after your username in
the username/password text box.
Q: I can't send any e-mail. Can you help?
A: This problem is usually due to an incorrect setting in your mail program.

for solving this problem.
Q: What can I do about "Invalid E-Mail Address" errors?
A: Click here to find out
some common causes for these errors.
Q: I have never been able to successfully send/receive messages using my
mwsi.net e-mail account. What do you suggest?
A: While this problem could be hardware or software related, there are two very
common causes which should be checked first. We suggest you
print out
the directions for setting up your mwsi.net e-mail address and follow them
exactly as they are written to remove & re-set your account. Secondly,
make certain that the e-mail address you are attempting to set up in your system
is a valid one within our server. Your e-mail address is your
username@mwsi.net. Unless otherwise specified, this is the only e-mail address
that is set up for you within our server. For an e-mail address to be valid, we
must have the information entered into our mail server from our end. Each
account comes with up to four e-mail addresses, but the usernames and passwords
for these accounts must be set up through us before they will work. If you
would like to add e-mail accounts, you must contact us with username and
password information for these accounts, otherwise the only e-mail address you
will be able to use will be your username@mwsi.net, as that is the only one
which will be recognized by the mail server.
Q: My e-mail gets "stuck" during sending and/or

Q: I receive a lot of "spam" (junk e-mail). Is
there anything I can do to stop it?
A: We have some advice for reducing the amount of spam you have to deal with.

Q: I'm having problems
setting my Netscape Mail up with your service. Can you help?
A: It is impossible to configure Netscape Mail to send e-mail over our server.
We would be happy to mail you the latest Internet Explorer program which
includes Outlook Express. O.E. is compatible with the security settings of our
mail server. If you would like a free copy of this software, please
e-mail a request for the software. If
you do not wish to change e-mail programs then you may want to sign up for a
Netscape or another web-based e-mail address.
Q: I use a web-based e-mail account (i.e.
hotmail, yahoo, msn mail, etc.) and I have forgotten my password. What is it?
A: We have no way of accessing this information. Web-based e-mail accounts
work independently of our e-mail server, even though you may use them while
connected to the internet through MWSI. The only password we have access to is
the original password given to us to set up your internet account. If you have
changed this password since your sign-up, we do not have access to your new
password.
