Step 1  -  After Outlook Express is opened, click the "Tools" menu option.

Step 2  -  Next, click the "Accounts" option that is shown in the dropdown menu.

Step 3  -  From the next window that is opened, click the "Mail" tab. 

Step 4  -  If there is already an account (or accounts) listed inside the mail tab, click on each account to highlight it and then click the "Remove" button.

Step 5  -  Click the "Add" button.

Step 6  -  From the menu that appears, click the "Mail..." option.

Step 7  -  In the next window, in the "Display name" textbox, type in your name as you want it to appear when someone receives an email from you. 

Step 8  -  Then click the "Next" button.

Step 9  -  On the next window, type in your email address in the "Email address" textbox.  The format of your email address is "username@mwsi.net". 

Step 10  -  Click the "Next" button.

Step 11 -  On the next window, in the "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:" type "mail.mwsi.net".

Step 12 -  In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:", type  "mail.mwsi.net".

Step 13 -  Click the "Next" button.

Step 14 -  On the next window, in the "Account name" textbox, type in your "username" in lowercase letters.  (Type your username only, not your entire e-mail address.) 

Step 15 -  In the "Password" textbox, type in your account "password" in lowercase letters.

Step 16 -  If you want the system to remember your password, click to check the "Remember password" checkbox.

Step 17 -  Click the "Next" button.

Step 18 -  On the next window, click the "Finish" button.

Step 19 -  From the Outlook Express main screen, click "Tools.

Step 20  -  Click the "Accounts" option that is shown in the dropdown menu.

Step 21  -  Click the "Mail" tab. 

Step 22 -  Highlight the mwsi.net e-mail account by clicking on it then click the "Properties" button.

Step 23 -  On the next window, click the "Servers" tab.

Step 24 -  Click to check the "My server requires authentication" checkbox at the bottom of the next window.

Step 25 -  Click the "Apply" button.

Step 26 -  Click the "OK" button.

Step 27 -  On the properties page, click the "Close" button.

You have now finished your e-mail setup and are ready to begin sending and receive messages.
